On February 27th, St. George's School sent six Senior School students to compete in the Annual Blackathon at the Microsoft Office, an event that blends historical enlightenment with contemporary innovation.

All 150+ attending students from high schools across Metro Vancouver were tasked with creating a revitalized space for Hogan's Alley that served the community and reflected the historical figure Viva "Vie" Moore's mission for comfort and connection.

Their community centre proposal, Above The Plate, focused on creating multi-generational community spaces, including a restaurant that reflected Vie's former restaurant in Hogan's Alley.

The students received first place following three rounds of judging and a final presentation pitch.

Congratulations to the St. George's Team "Atlanthos 2" on their first-place win, and to all teams for their engagement, creativity, and teamwork!
