    • Final report cards from the past two years (or any daycare or preschool progress reports as received)
    • Current report cards
    • Character Reference Form (available online through the application checklist)
      • Our first choice for a referee should be a classroom teacher (current or previous). Our second choice would be a coach, youth group director, cub-leader, or someone who interacts with this child in a social setting. We prefer not to receive references from one-to-one tutors or family friends.
    • Any additional documents as outlined and agreed to in the online application
Please note: only the requested documents will be reviewed in order to maintain consistency and fairness for all applicants. Please do not send additional items such as certificates, photos, or additional reference letters. These items will be discarded.

  • Step 4 | Complete testing

    • Kindergarten: In-house group assessment: Students applying to Kindergarten will be invited to self-schedule a testing date in early January 2023 upon receipt of the online application. Testing dates are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Grades 1–3: In-house testing by emailed invitation. Testing is subject to space availability and will take place in late spring (March–May).

Grades 4–5: Write the Elementary level SSAT at any test location.

Applicants to Grades 4 and 5 must register for an Elementary Level SSAT at any SSAT Test Centre. St. George's School will offer some testing options to applicants, with further details to be communicated directly to the families when an application is received. Testing spaces will be limited, so we encourage families to submit applications as soon as possible.
Grades 6–11: Write the Middle or Upper-Level SSAT. Students can register to take the test in person at an SSAT test centre, online with the SSAT at home for residents of Canada or the USA, or take the test at any designated Prometric Test Centre. Please make sure to designate St. George's School as a score recipient. Applicants applying for financial aid are eligible to request testing fee waivers through the Admissions Team.
International applicants (outside of Canada/USA) must write the SSAT at any test location. Please do not hesitate to register for the SSAT as dates fill up fast.
Grades 4–11 applicant SSAT scores are accepted from all September through December 2022 test dates.
