Welcome to the spring season (Term 3) of Saints Athletics! We are looking forward to another fantastic term to finish an amazing year with 11 competitive Sport Programs all in action! Here is what is coming up next week. 

The Badminton Team is kicking off their season this weekend on April 5th and 6th at the Port Moody Tournament at Port Moody Secondary. Then they will be back in action at the Badminton ISA Championships at St. Michaels University School (Victoria) on April 11th. Good luck, team!

The Field Hockey Team will head to the UBC AstroTurf for training on Tuesday, April 9th and Wednesday, April 10th as they prepare for the start of their competitive season, during which they are excited to have some exhibition games scheduled against community club teams. Let’s Go!

The boys who represented Saints at the Southern Nevada Invitational at the Anthem Country Club, located just outside of Las Vegas, did very well. They placed sixth out of 15 participating schools. This was the first time a Canadian School had ever been in that competition. A handful of players will compete in Team Matches on Monday, April 8th and Thursday, April 11th at the Fraserview Golf Club. The team will continue training on Thursday, April 11th at Shaughnessy. The boys and coaches are also looking forward to the 12th Annual Saints Open on April 19th and 20th. 

The Rowing Team, fresh off their very successful Training Camp held in Chula Vista CA, is gearing up for the annual Saints vs. VC Boat Race set for the morning hours of Saturday, April 13th. The team will then continue training with their sights set on the Shawnigan Regatta, taking place from May 10th–12th. Follow @sgssaintsrowing on Instagram to stay up to date on Saints Rowing. 

The 1st XV Team will co-host Collingwood on Tuesday, April 9th with the 2nd XV for a joint scrimmage before they take on West Vancouver on the road on Thursday, April 11th at Centennial in a League Game Matchup at 4:00 pm.

The 2nd XV Team will co-host Collingwood on Tuesday, April 9th with the 1st XV. Then they will host Churchill on Thursday, April 11th for a 4:00 pm kickoff on Mortensen Field. 

The Junior A Team will host our good friends from Brentwood on Tuesday, April 9th at 2:00 pm on Garcia Field. Then on Saturday, April 13th, Wimbledon College (UK) visits, and will kickoff against the Junior A Team at 11:00 am on Mortensen Field.

The Junior B Team will host Tupper on Wednesday, April 10th for a 4:00 pm kickoff on Garcia Field. The squad will also play host to Wimbledon College (UK) on Saturday, April 13th with kickoff at 11:00 am on Garcia Field. 

Try-outs are complete and the Junior Team will practice on Sunday, April 14th from 5:00–7:00 pm, followed by the Senior Team from 7:00–9:00 pm at the UBC Tennis Bubble. Both teams are looking forward to the start of their competitive season. 

Track and Field will jump right into competition as they have their first league meet of the season on Wednesday, April 10th at the UBC Oval. Good luck team! The squad will train on Thursday, April 11th at UBC at 4:00 pm. 

Both the Senior and Junior Teams will practice on Thursday, April 11th as they prepare for their first competitions of the season on Friday, April 12th at Trillium Park.

Grade 8 and 9 Volleyball practice will take place on Mondays and Wednesday throughout the spring. The Volleyball 8 Team looks forward to their first tournament of the year at David Thompson on Friday, April 12th. 

The Water Polo Team looks forward to an exciting spring season and will practice from 3:30–5:00 pm after school each day next week. Matches will be announced as details get confirmed.

The XC Mountain Biking Team is geared up for their first race of the season which will take place at Mt. Fromme on Wednesday, April 10th. Good luck racers!
