Scholarships & Awards

  • 1990 Parents Music Scholarship Fund: The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship for the student in Grade 12 who, through citizenship, service, and musicianship has made an outstanding contribution to the music program at the School for at least three years.

  • Danette Mortimer Memorial Fund: The purpose of this fund is to present an award to a boy in each of Grades 1-7 who demonstrates a commitment to public service and concern for others within the school or in the community. Boys are nominated by their peers or teachers. A committee judges the merit of each nomination. Each boy that receives the Danette Mortimer Award will present a cheque to the charity of their choice.

  • Ian Song Memorial Fund: The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to a student whose life in the School exemplifies the highest code of performance and character.

  • John Blackmore Scholarship Fund: The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to a Grade 7 student entering Grade 8, for academic excellence.

  • Kiran Van Rijn Memorial Scholarship: The purpose of this fund is to award a student currently enrolled in good standing in either Grade 10 or 11 at St. George's School. The recipient must be an active member of the school's rowing program as either a rower or a coxswain.

  • Malcolm Cliff Campbell Memorial Fund: The purpose of this fund is to support Malcolm Cliff Campbell Scholarships and Freddy Scholarship.

  • Michael Nash Memorial Fund: The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to a Grade 6 student entering Grade 7 who displays all-round abilities in academics and athletics.

  • Performing Arts Fund: The purpose of this fund is to provide an award to a Grade 11 or 12 student in Drama who, over a period of years, has shown a high level of involvement, energy, passions, and expertise within the Senior School Drama Program.

  • Philip Rigg Memorial Fund: The purpose of this fund is to provide scholarships for students of the St. George's Senior School for contribution to the creative and performing arts and for citizenship and academic achievements.

  • Robert I. L. McLean '04 Fund: The purpose of this fund is to recognize excellence in Middle School Science for a boy in each of Grades 8, 9, and 10.

  • Robin Baker Memorial Fund: The purpose of this fund is to recognize a strong academic student with a flair for English.

  • Salsbury Foundation Award for Canadian History: The purpose of this fund is to provide a prize or prizes to Grade 10 and 11 students for essays on the subject of Canadian History with particular emphasis on the French in Canada.

  • Sean Dixon Memorial Fund: The purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to be awarded to a Grade 11 student who has shown excellence in creative writing and the study of literature.

  • Taylor Self '06 Scholarship Fund: This scholarship is open to students who are currently enrolled in Grade 8 Band, and who will be going on in Grade 9 Band the following year. This scholarship will be awarded to the student who demonstrates: an exceptional level of dedication to music, consistent hard work, and an outstanding attitude toward the subject and his fellow students.

  • The Robinson Distinguished Service Award Fund: The purpose of this fund is to provide a financial award and a commemorative plaque annually to an employee of St. George's School who demonstrate in their St. George's School careers the same qualities of idealism, service, scholarship and spirit that B.O. Robinson stood for in this time.
