Senior School Updates — March 13, 2026

Spring Uniform & Dress Code Reminders

Upon our return from Spring Break on Monday, March 30th, students are welcome to wear the St. George’s School Spring Uniform. The Spring Uniform consists of a tucked-in white St. George’s polo shirt (black polo for grads), grey pants, and grey socks. Shorts that are worn must be hemmed and accompanied by knee-high grey socks. A black belt and black dress shoes should be worn as part of the uniform. Students are required to wear their blue blazers for Assemblies and special events. HOW the uniform is worn is as important as WHAT is worn. Students who are unsure whether their uniform is consistent with the School's guidelines should see their Head of Grade or a School Administrator for confirmation. Students found to have repeated violations of the Student Dress Code will be subject to school disciplinary action.

Please note that students are expected to wear their blazers to all school assemblies, unless otherwise stated. Formal events during Term 3, such as our Middle and Senior School Awards Days, require students to be dressed in their #1 School Uniforms (standard dress with blazers).

Athletics Updates

As Spring Break approaches, we would like to thank all of our Saints athletes, coaches, and families for a fantastic start to the year! Your dedication, sportsmanship, and support continue to make our Athletics community strong. We hope everyone enjoys a safe and healthy Spring Break, and we look forward to seeing you all back, recharged, and ready for another great term of Saints sport.

For some, however, the sport continues. Our Saints Rowers, Hockey Teams, and Rugby Teams have some notable events over Spring Break:

CSSHL HOCKEY
The 2026 CSSHL Western Championships are underway, with 106 teams from BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Idaho, and Washington playing for championships in their respective age groups in Penticton, BC.

U15 Varsity
The U15 Varsity Team has playoffs from March 14th-19th. Their pool is set with them playing Rink Kelowna on March 15th at 7:00 pm, STAR on March 16th at 7:00 pm, and OHA on March 17th at 2:00 pm. Good luck, Boys!

U15 Prep
After two tough losses in the group stage, the U15 Prep Teams' playoff run has unfortunately come to an end. A huge thank you to all the coaches, parents, and athletes for all your efforts this season!

U17 Prep
The U17 Prep Team has playoffs from March 18th–22nd. The boys are currently training hard in preparation for a playoff run.

U18 Prep
The U18 Prep Team put together a fantastic playoff run. All three of their group games went to overtime. The third group game required a shootout to determine the winner. Due to their efforts, they made it to the quarterfinals, where they went into overtime, and another shootout was required to decide the winner. After playing four games in four days, with each game requiring extra time, the boys unfortunately didn’t have enough energy left in the tank and lost the semi-final to a strong team in RINK Kelowna.

Congratulations to all the boys on a great season, and a big thank you to all the Grade 12 players for all their years dedicated to the program.

Rowing
Saints Rowing is heading to Vancouver Island for an intensive training block at Shawnigan Lake. This camp is designed for high-volume mileage and technical refinement; essentially, it’s where their hard work during the winter starts to turn into spring speed.

Beyond the relentless effort on the water, the team has the unique opportunity to train alongside the Canadian National Rowing Team. Sharing the lake with the country’s best athletes gives our rowers a front-row seat to the professional standard of the sport and a clear picture of what’s possible with dedication. It’s going to be a demanding week, but we’re looking forward to the progress that only comes from this kind of focused environment.

Rugby
On March 11th, our Junior Rugby Team will depart for an exciting tour of England and Scotland. Over the course of the trip, the team will play four matches against local opposition while proudly representing Saints abroad. The tour will also give our athletes the chance to experience the deep traditions of Rugby in the UK, immerse themselves in local culture, and strengthen the bonds that make team sport so special. We wish the team and coaches safe travels and look forward to following their journey!
