Since its inception in 1965, the Annual Head of the Charles Regatta (HOCR) has been held on the Charles River, which separates Boston and Cambridge, Massachusetts. This is a massive event attracting over 200,000 spectators to the area every year to watch dozens of rowers navigate the exciting 4,702-metre race.
Oliver and his team (3v; all freshmen) were one of three boats representing Tufts University (NCAA Div. III). There were several Division 1 schools amongst the 43 entries in this race, including boats from both MIT and Holy Cross. Tufts' 3v started the race seated 43rd and finished 16th, beating teams from universities all over the US. Congratulations to Oliver and his Tuft Teammates on a fantastic performance!
