Senior School Updates — May 1, 2025

Block Rotations (May 5–June 4)

On Monday, May 5th, it will be Day 2, and the blocks will be H/I-J-F-G. Tuesday, May 6th, will be Day 1, and the blocks will be C/D-E-A-B.

Time of day can have a strong impact on learning for some students (and teachers). Rotating blocks enables students to learn different subjects at different times of the day to spread both the opportunities and challenges of specific times of day.

Please note that after Spring Break, the Senior School implemented a new bell schedule. To avoid confusion, we will continue with the blocks being named/coded ABCDE and FGHIJ on their respective days. However, do note that C and D will be combined into C/D (and H and I into H/I) on some documents where appropriate. Also, C/D and H/I will rotate in the timetable, since they are no longer tied to the lunch block.

Students, please arrive a few minutes earlier than usual on Monday, May 5th, so that you are able to get to your class on time.

Peer Tutoring

Studying can often feel isolating and frustrating. With exam season approaching, finding time to review everything can seem like an impossible task. It's important to know that you aren't alone; our peer tutors are available to support you!

Our drop-in Peer Tutoring Program is available in Room B128 (learning support room next to the learning commons) on Mondays at lunch, as well as Wednesdays after school.

Whether you’re struggling to understand a certain concept, need help reviewing for an upcoming test, or have homework you want to go over, our peer tutors are subject experts in a variety of different courses. They are more than happy to help support you. This program is open to students in all grades, so don’t hesitate to drop by.
