Senior School Reopen Details

Please fill out this form indicating whether or not you will be sending your son(s) to school.

The Senior School is planning to have students return to school beginning June 1st. In alignment with the Ministry’s return guidelines, we are ensuring that appropriate physical distancing is in place and that students return one day per week. As we are entering the final two weeks of the academic year, the return to the Senior School will look different than a typical school day.

Students who require additional support or are at risk of not meeting the requirements of the school year will be invited to return to school on June 1st for full-time support. These students and their families will be notified by May 27th about the plan for return to school.

For the final week of classes (June 1-5), remote learning instruction will continue; students will have synchronous learning during the morning, asynchronous lessons to be completed on their own time, and Wednesday remains a community time.  To support our students’ return to school we are inviting students, by grade, to return in-person during the afternoon.  In order to keep class sizes at the required density, students will attend class in their advisory groupings.  During their return, they will be involved in end-of-year tasks (locker cleanout, textbook return, course selection) and be provided with an overview of the Final Portfolio Assessment.

Maximizing student and faculty/staff safety is our top priority.  Please see the Health and Safety protocols for the Senior School here.

The return to school is optional for students, and we will provide remote access to this information and alternative ways to accomplish administrative tasks if they are unable or choose not to attend.

More information on the core competencies and the year-end assessment will be provided at a later date.

The schedule for this week is intended to support students with in-person instruction and support with the assessment. Remote learning options are also available for those that are not in attendance.
