Saints Students Impact on Uganda

On behalf of The Walking School Bus and the three other Saints boys that travelled with us to Uganda: Andy Chen (2018), Justin Kape (2019), and Sam Shapray (2020), thank you very much for supporting our work.
Through the collections at the Junior School and the money raised at the Senior School, The Walking School Bus, along with students Andy Chen (2018), Justin Kape (2019), and Sam Shapray (2020) we were able to gift a library to an interfaith school in a very poor, rural village. They took 15 duffel bags from the Junior school and donated hundreds of books and school supplies that were very much needed. The sorted all of the supplies and, with the funds raised, purchased wood, varnish and educational curriculum books on the ground in Mbale, Uganda.
Additionally, The Walking School Bus was able to convert a shipping container into a solar powered reading classroom outfitted with computers, wifi and headphones. They sponsored 17 students to go to school and an additional three orphan’s basic needs including: bedding, clothing and food. Other projects included building a chicken coop and a water catchment system as well as the distribution of 100 new soccer uniforms and 15 soccer balls.
