Global Stewardship Conference 2017
Our strategic plan notes, “The world is an increasingly complex and challenging place. The pace of change is increasing exponentially, and globalization has transformed daily life from one end of the planet to the other. In the years ahead, humankind must confront a variety of challenges, including climate change, looming energy shortages, pandemics, and economic instability.” We also know that the world is full of life- cultures and creatures, ideas and industries, experiences and explorations- and bursting with creative ways to connect across differences.
One of the initiatives we are proud to launch as part of the Strategic Plan goals is our first ever Global Stewardship Conference. We hope this conference will kick-start conversations big and small about what global stewardship is and how we do it from our shared home base of St George’s School.
On February 1 and 2, 2017, all students and faculty will become co-participants in activities, workshops, and sessions that will give us fresh eyes and increased resolve to care about and participate in the world around us in positive ways.
Through “Me. Us. World”, we are inspired to see ourselves, each other, and the world differently.
