Golf Team faces tough competition at the Delta Police Tournament

On April 24th and 25th, the St. George’s Golf Team participated in the Delta Police Tournament at the Kings Links and Northview Canal golf courses. The team faced some serious wind throughout their first round at Kings Links, limiting them to just two birdies and placing them tied for 9th place after day one. The second day was an early shotgun start and it took everyone a while to find their swing; however, the team put forth a strong performance making six birdies and many pars. They were able to beat their total first day score by eight strokes, which allowed them to pull away from their tie for ninth and close in on the team in seventh. In an extremely tough tournament with some of the best players from around British Columbia, the boys should all feel extremely proud of the way they performed and the manner that they carried with them throughout their rounds.
