Biography: Chris Kelly
Chris Kelly completed his B.A. and Teacher Training at the University of British Columbia and his M.A. in Educational Leadership and Administration at Simon Fraser University, British Columbia. For more than 33 years, Chris served as an educator, senior administrator and organizational and community leader throughout the province. As an educator and administrator, Chris’ professional work and interests have included elementary and secondary teaching, Aboriginal education, special education, curriculum development, school administration, professional, organizational and leadership development, project development, events coordination and a wide range of community involvements.
Chris has served as President of the Canadian Education Association, President of the BC School Superintendents’ Association and Education Partner and President in the Education Research and Development Inc. – Canada. Currently, Chris acts as an education consultant and process facilitator in a variety of organizational contexts and is Senior Programs Consultant to the Dalai Lama Center for Peace and Education.
Chris and his wife Deborah, who is also a recently retired, distinguished educator, live in Vancouver and enjoy time with their young adult children, Simon and Alyson.
