My career has taken me in some interesting directions since graduating from St. George's as a lifer in 1996 and then Queen's School of Business in 2000.

I started out in the Management Trainee Program at Maple Leaf Foods.  It was a 3 year program that allowed me to gain valuable experience in the areas of Marketing, Business Development, and Corporate Finance.

Then I moved on to Cryptologic, where I spent 8 years, culminating as Vice President and Corporate Officer, Product Management and Business Development.  A pioneer in what is now a multi-billion dollar global Internet Gaming market, Cryptologic was an award-winning, blue-chip, world-class software development company whose shares traded publicly on the London Stock Exchange, the NASDAQ and the TSX.

Following Cryptologic, I began to slowly transition from a corporate career path into more of an entrepreneurial one.  I founded a consulting practice where I leveraged what I had learned in the corporate world to provide services in the areas of Leadership, Strategic Planning, Operations, Product Management, Licensing and Business Development.  My client roster included companies ranging in size from $1 million to $200 million per year in annual revenues within the industries of Online Gaming, Digital Advertising, Social Media, Search Engine Optimization, and Consumer Goods.

But consulting was not overly fulfilling for me, and I was ready to jump into the world of entrepreneurship with both feet.  So I started LowestRates.ca where I serve as the company's President and CEO.  LowestRates.ca provides Canadians with a fast and convenient way to save two of their most valuable assets – time and money. By using LowestRates.ca to search for mortgage, insurance, and credit card offers, Americans and Canadians can literally save themselves thousands of dollars in just minutes.  LowestRates.ca allows Canadians to compare offers from leading financial institutions all in one place. The website aims to supply consumers with the necessary tools and unbiased information to find the lowest rates anywhere, instantly, in their search for the right personal financial products for their unique needs.

Why I want to be a mentor: I can provide valuable insight into both what life as a corporate executive and an entrepreneur really looks like.  It is energizing to speak with young people seeking direction and advice as their enthusiasm is contagious.
