I graduated from St. George's in 1988 and from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1993 with a JD.  I moved to Hong Kong in 1994.  I joined HSBC Investment Bank in 1997 and served as Head of Legal & Compliance for retail broking and dealing and as member of their Operating Committee. I established my own law firm in 2004.  The firm focuses on mergers & acquisitions, litigation and general financial markets & financial services work. The firm is internationally recognized as a leading practice in financial regulation, private equity, hedge funds, mutual funds and unit trusts and banking.  I have successfully represented clients before the courts, including the Court of Final Appeal (the highest court in Hong Kong), and the securities regulator in Hong Kong and have appeared for clients before the Legislative Council (the equivalent of Parliament).  My clients have included a number of Fortune Global 500 financial institutions as well as multi-billion dollar family offices and asset management firms.

I am hoping that as a mentor I will be able to help St. George's to build its community in Hong Kong, to cultivate the network between graduates and to help graduates accelerate their careers.
