Geoff Bertram '96

Goeff is a Managing Director in TD Securities' Equity Capital Markets group, responsible for origination and execution of the firm’s equity financing transactions. He has over 16 years of experience in the equity markets advising corporate clients on initial public offerings, follow-on offerings and equity-linked transactions. He joined TD Securities in May 2006 after working for six years in the Investment Banking and Equity Capital Markets groups of a global investment bank in Toronto and New York. Geoff graduated with a BA in International Relations from the University of British Columbia after spending 7 fantastic years at St. George's.

He currently co-heads TD Securities' Canadian Investment Banking campus recruiting effort and previously served on the boards of the TD Securities Underwriting Hope Campaign and Auction, and the TD Securities United Way Campaign. Despite both loving the west coast, Geoff and his wife Catharine have put down some serious roots in Toronto, where they live with their two young children.

Why he's participating as a mentor in this program

Throughout his life, whether during his time at St. George's or in his working career, he has been a significant beneficiary of the time and support that his mentors have offered him. Their advice has guided him as he's advanced in his career, and has shaped him into the person he is today. He's very grateful for this gift and thinks the best way to repay it is through offering whatever advice and experience he can to those looking for guidance themselves.
