Engaging Head, Hand, and Heart.

The St. George's Junior School Visual Arts program provides the foundation for students to express themselves visually with confidence. The students respond to contemporary and historical art through discussion and reflection. Classes experience a rich variety of media and techniques including printmaking, drawing, painting, ceramics, collage, and animation. Students are challenged to improve their techniques and skills with each media, while expanding their personal interpretations.

Arts Clubs

Mural Club
On various walls throughout the school students paint images based on the works or ideas of famous artists. Murals may connect directly to the studies of a particular grade level.

Grade 7 Art Club
Students create a collaborative piece of art for the school - a group painting, mural, or animation. Often guest artists work with students through the art process.

Sculpture Club
Students experience the creation of 3-D art using a variety of materials, approaches, and ideas.
