About the Hamper Drive

Our annual Hamper Drive is a significant and beloved tradition at St. George’s School for the past 30 years. Organized by the students with support from staff, more than 250 hampers are delivered to disadvantaged families in Vancouver during the toughest time of year. Hampers include food and household items, as well as toys for the children and are designed to support low-income families through the holiday season.

We need your support

Delivering a hamper is an excellent way to contribute to a family’s holiday cheer. Families can also volunteer for specific roles on Hamper Assembly Day (Friday, December 21) and Hamper Delivery Day (Saturday, December 22), such as assisting with produce box assembly and more.

Delivery registration will open in early December and volunteer registration will open on December 1st.

How you can help

We gratefully accept all offers, no matter what quantity. If you are able to support this worthy cause, please contact Ms. Shirley Tang at stang@stgeorges.bc.ca or 604-221-3889. Please note, we issue tax receipts for all gifts in excess of $25.

We are able to accept donations beginning the week of December 1st for non-perishable goods, and as close to December 20th as possible, for any perishable items.

With your assistance, we can bring a little joy to those in need during the holiday season and truly make a difference at this special time of year.
