  • Admissions Open Houses

    Date: September–February
    Time Commitment: 
    3–5 events/year

    Help the School's Admissions team welcome prospective Junior or Senior School families, and answer any questions they may have. (Training provided.)
  • Advancement Office Support

    Date: As needed
    From time to time, the Advancement Department looks for volunteers to help with calling fellow parents about supporting the Annual Giving Campaign, at events, and with Georgian (Alumni) relations.
  • Art Room Support

    Date: Ongoing
    Time Commitment: monthly afternoon shift

    Assist the Art Department in hanging artwork and managing art supplies.
  • Assistance with Translation

    Time Commitment: As needed

    A volunteer pool with different language skills helps the school and the SGPA translate documents, from time to time, throughout the year.
  • Food Fest

    Date: October 18, 2018
    Time: 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm

    Parents are invited to bring their favourite dish to this potluck luncheon in the Junior School dining hall. Volunteers help set up and greet parents. 
  • Grade Parents

    Application Deadline: April 30, 2019
    Time Commitment: Ongoing (1-2 days per month)

    Grade Parents form the social and communications hub for each grade between the parents and the SGPA. They also organize the specific activities and events for parents and boys.
  • Grandparents Day

    Date: May (every other year)

    This is a bi-annual event, and the next one is 2019. It is a special event where grandparents are invited to visit the school. There will be an area of reception with tea and refreshments throughout the day.

  • Holiday Decorating

    Date: December
    Time Commitment: 1–2 mornings

    Come 'Deck the Halls' of the Junior and Senior School in early December and take decorations down just before the break.
  • Lost and Found

    Time Commitment: Ongoing (1–2 hours, twice per month)

    Work as a team to help organize lost and found items at the Junior and Senior schools.
  • Lunar New Year Tea

    February 8th, 2019 12:00 - 3:00 pm
    Each year parents are invited to an afternoon of tea and Asian delicacies as we celebrate Lunar New Year. This festive occasion will be held at the Junior School.  
    Volunteers are needed to help set up and greet volunteers in the Junior School dining hall.
  • New Parents' Dinner

    Date: September / October

    A team of parent volunteers assist the Advancement Office with the setup and takedown of this lovely dinner that is hosted to welcome new parents into the community. This event is held in the Junior School Gym.

  • Playground Supervision

    Time Commitment: Ongoing (weekly shift)

    Help supervise students on the primary school playground during morning or lunch recess.
  • Saints Players Theatre

    Senior School Production ( Grades 11-12) - Fall Term
    Middle School Production (Grades 8-10) - Winter Term

  • Socks for Smiles Luncheon

    Date: December 6, 2018
    Time: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

    Over lunch, in the Junior School, dining hall parents will be stuffing socks for Alley Outreach. Volunteers needed to help set up and greet parents.
  • Soiree

    Date: February 1, 2019
    Time: 7:00 pm – midnight

    Evening cocktail and dance party for parents, staff and Georgians. Help on the night of the event checking parents in and selling raffle tickets. The event will take place at
    Terminal City Club.
  • St. George's School Fair

    Date: May 4, 2019

    The St. George’s School Fair is the SGPA’s largest event of the year. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents to build community, make new friends, and work together to raise funds to enhance the school experience for our boys. 
  • Teacher/Staff Appreciation Day

    Date: April 5, 2019

    Show your appreciation by coming to help or contributing a dish to this day-long thank you buffet at both Junior and Senior schools.
  • Used Uniform Committee

    Time Commitment: Ongoing (1–2 mornings/month)

    Join the team that collects and sorts gently used blazers, uniform items, and athletic wear in preparation for monthly Used Uniform sales. 
  • Welcome Back BBQ

    Date: September 4, 2019
    Time: 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

    This is the first school event of the year. All parents, students, faculty, and staff are invited. The event is held at St. George’s Senior School Field
    rain or shine.
