You may have graduated from St. George’s a while ago, but some aspect of Saints still remains in your character and affects your daily life.
As a Georgian who graduated from St. George’s School over 20 years ago, you might think that most of the Saints you remember has changed. The buildings have been updated and some of the teachers you remember have left the School, such as Simon and Nan Oliver and Daryl Wakeham, but the core aspects and the heart and soul of your School, are still there. Younger generations are now benefitting from 21st century learning, such as integrated technology in the classroom, 3D printers, and a Mac Lab, but the fundamental components of education and community are still present. These students are still trying to achieve the same goals you were; a balancing act of achievement in the classroom, on the stage, and on the playing field, with success outside the School. The same bonds of friendship and community forged over 20 years ago in the hallways by students of St. George’s can be mirrored in the smiles and laughter of today’s students.
Did you know that tuition only covers 71% of the operating budget? It is for this reason that the School asks for donations. You can make a difference in the educational journey of a student in two ways: by donating to the Annual Fund, which provides the programs, educational enhancements, and co-curricular activities that enable students of today to create those same memories you have; or, by donating to the Old Boys Endowment Fund, giving deserving boys with financial needs the ability to attend this school.
