You may have graduated from St. George’s over 25 years ago, but some aspect of Saints still remains in your character and affects your daily life.
Time passes more quickly than one thinks. It might feel like it was just yesterday that you were running down the hall to get to Mr. Ujimoto’s math class or preparing for a trip with Mr. Stancombe’s Outdoor Club. The desire and excitement you once had, of growing up and getting out into the world, have passed. Those emotions have since been replaced by ones of reflection and nostalgia. Old stories of your adventures in the time before cellphones or high-speed internet might baffle your children now, but the experiences and lifelong friends that you made at St. George’s will not. At Saints one thing that stays the same from generation to generation is the feeling of camaraderie and fraternity between St. George’s boys and the pride and joy that comes with having attending the School. These emotions link generations of Saints students to one another.
Your time at St. George’s was impacted by a legacy left by those that came before you and the memories and resources current students are creating and benefitting from are impacted by and a result of those that came before them.
Did you know that tuition only covers 71% of the operating budget? It is for this reason that the School asks for donations. You can make a difference in the educational journey of a student in two ways: by donating to the Annual Fund, which provides the programs, educational enhancements, and co-curricular activities that enable students of today to create those same memories you have; or, by donating to the Old Boys Endowment Fund, giving deserving boys with financial needs the ability to attend this school.
