More than 80 years of community
At St. George's School, we are proud of the strong relationships we’ve built with our Dunbar neighbours.
We take our responsibilities in being a good neighbour very seriously, whether we are students, staff or families of St. George's School. In the spirit of community, we welcome your comments or questions at any time. Please direct them to Angelia Aizawa, Academic and Operations Assistant.
The Good Neighbour Policy
As an integral part of the Dunbar community, the School works hard to preserve and promote the quality of life that all members of the community have come to expect as residents. Our neighbourhood commitment is articulated in our Operations Management Plan.
Traffic, Safety and Our Community
St. George’s School is located in a quiet residential community and the traffic from our school impacts the safety of pedestrians and cyclists. Furthermore, congestion is an unnecessary irritant for our neighbours. Please encourage your son to walk, cycle, take the bus, or carpool to school. For more tips, please visit our transportation page
St. George’s School has an after-hours (evenings, weekends and holidays) security person available to deal with emergent issues. Typically, this will be a St. George’s employee from 7:00 am to midnight and an on-call contractor between midnight and 7:00 am and during closure periods. Neighbours are invited to contact security to deal with noise and traffic-related issues. In cases where the Motor Vehicle Act or the City of Vancouver Parking By-laws are being violated, neighbours are encouraged to call 911 (Police) or 311 (City of Vancouver Bylaws enforcement).
