Academic Support

Residential Life at St. George's offers extensive opportunities for students to receive academic support.

Academic Tutoring

Harker Hall has regular academic support available for English and Mathematics two or three evenings per week.  In term 2, we also have weekly science tutoring. Our on-site tutors are experts in their fields and can support students in all courses from grades 8 - 12.

Peer Tutoring and Support

Our students are some of the best resources for academic support and many of our seniors offer peer tutoring to students who require it.  This program is facilitated through the student leadership team and students are encouraged to speak with any student leader if they are in need of support.

Standardized Testing Preparation

Harker Hall has partnered with Can-Am Test Prep Academy to offer a preparation course on-site for our residential life students.  This allows students to take the course without leaving campus.  Typically this program is done on Monday evenings from 7:00 - 9:30 pm throughout the first term.

Private Tutoring

For students experiencing academic struggles that require the support of an individual tutor, Harker Hall has established relationships with companies that offer tutoring on-site in Harker Hall.  For more information, please contact the Director of Residential Life.
