Senior School Winter Concert

We invite you to attend the St. George’s Senior School opening concert of the year, Intersections, on Thursday, December 6th. The evening showcases both music and visual art by Senior School students.
Everyone is welcome and tickets are NOT needed at the door as seating is general. We ask that audience members please make a contribution to the St. George’s Hamper Drive when they arrive. Doors open at 6:45 pm, but please feel free to arrive early to enjoy the art displays and pre-concert music in the Upper Great Hall.
In addition to our student performers, we also have a remarkable guest soloist, Dr. Valerie Whitney. Dr. Whitney serves as Assistant Professor of Horn and Director of Brass at the University of British Columbia. Her musicianship has complimented some of the nation’s most esteemed performing organizations, including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Chicago Lyric Opera, and the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. She appears regularly with regional performing organizations as an orchestral and chamber musician, both nationally and internationally, and has presented masterclasses and workshops at high schools, and universities around the US and Canada. Dr. Whitney will perform The Glass Bead Game by Jim Beckel with the Senior Concert Band at the Annual Winter Concert.
