Georgian Mentoring Program

Georgian Mentoring Program

The Georgian Mentoring Program is designed to connect Old Boys, approaching the completion of university or in the beginning stages of a career, with older and well-established Old Boys in various career disciplines. The program's strategy is to provide the younger Georgians with career and lifestyle advice while entering, or seeking to enter, a professional working environment.

Program information

1. We ask that you have some form of communication with your mentor or mentee every month. This can be done in person, over the phone, or using Skype.

2. An OBA Director will be contacting you via email at the 3rd, 6th, 9th, and 12th-month intervals to check in and hear about how the partnership is working.

3. At the end of the year, the School and OBA will send each party a completion survey to receive feedback on how the program was run, if there are any changes you would recommend, and whether your expectations were met.

4. Applications to be a Mentee are limited to those Georgians who are in the 3rd or 4th year of post-secondary education, or those who have recently completed post-secondary and who are in the first few years of their careers.

Become a Mentee

We want to hear from you!

If you would like to join the Georgian Mentoring Program but cannot find a mentor who is suited to your career or lifestyle application, please send Ian Yen (iyen@stgeorges.bc.ca) an email describing yourself and what you are looking for, and we will find you a Mentor.
