We welcome applications for all grades at the School. Our main intake points are Kindergarten, Grades 4, 6, and 8.

  • Grade 9 (8 - 18 spaces)
  • Grade 10 (8 - 18 spaces)
  • Grade 11 (7 - 12 spaces)
  • Grade 12 (limited consideration)

  • Step 1 | Submit online application

    Please complete the online application and all checklist items. Supplemental materials (report cards, character reference, etc.) can be submitted afterwards so do not delay submission of the online application form. Please let us know if you have any questions.

    The application for September 2021 will launch around the beginning of September 2020.
     
    Application Deadlines: 
    Grades K-12: Monday, November 16, 2020

    Financial Aid is available for Grades 6–12. The deadline to apply for Financial Assistance is December 1, 2020.
  • Step 2 | Submit supporting documentation

    Kindergarten Requirements:

    • Any progress reports from daycare or preschool if received.
    • Character Reference Form (available online in the parent portal checklist)
        • Our first choice for a referee should be a classroom teacher (current or previous). Our second choice would be a coach, youth group director, cub-leader, or someone who interacts with this child in a social setting. We prefer not to receive references from one-to-one tutors or family friends.
      • Any additional documents as outlined and agreed to in the online application
      All other Grade requirements: 

      • Final report cards from the past two years
      • Current report cards
      • A drawing of something that makes you happy (Grade 1s only)
      • SSAT Character Skills Snapshot (Grade 6–12 only)
      • Character Reference Form (available online in the application)

      Please note:

      nly the requested documents will be reviewed in order to maintain consistency and fairness for all applicants. Please do not send additional items such as certificates, photos or additional reference letters. These items will be discarded.
    • Step 3 | Interviews

      Grades 4, 6, 8: After an application has been received for most intake years, you will receive an email invitation to attend a virtual student and parent interview. 
       
      Grades 1-3, 5, 7, 9-12: Only selected candidates of non-intake years will be invited for virtual student and parent interviews, so please ensure to have all items on your checklist complete before the deadline to be considered. 

      Kindergarten Interviews: Selected parents will be invited for interviews upon completion of assessment.
    • Step 4 | Complete testing

      Kindergarten: In-house group assessment: In-house testing by emailed invitation during the week of January 4-8, 2021.

      Grades 1–3: In-house testing by emailed invitation. (Testing is subject to space availability).

      Grades 4–5: Write SSAT at any test location.
      Applicants must write the SSAT in 2020. Test results through December 2020 will be accepted. 

      Grades 6-12: Write the SSAT at home for residents of Canada or the USA, or take the test at any designated Prometric Test Centre.
      International applicants (outside of Canada/USA) must write the SSAT at any test location.
       
      All applicants must write the SSAT in 2020. Test results through December 2020 will be accepted. 

      * Please do not hesitate to register for the SSAT as dates fill up fast.
    • Step 5 | Admission decision

      • Kindergarten: February 5, 2021
      • Grade 4 and 6: March 5, 2021
      • Grade 8: February 25, 2021
      • Non-Intake Years: Rolling through mid-April
      Applicants will receive one of three decisions: acceptance, wait pool, or decline. Applicants applying for Financial Assistance will also receive the outcome at the time of decision.
