The Headmaster Search Committee is dedicated to finding our next
Head of School, and our goal is to develop a vision of what is required of the next Head based on the aspirations and values of our community. Our search process is underway and will include consulting with our stakeholders and community, developing a profile of the Head we aspire to recruit, and a thoughtful search and selection process.
The HSC will be assisted by an Advisory Panel, consisting of:
Martha Piper, an education expert with significant experience with such searches, the former President and Vice-Chancellor of UBC, and a current grandparent. Ms. Piper has also agreed to serve as a Senior Advisor to the HSC;
Karen Potter, the School’s Director of Human Resources. Ms. Potter has also agreed to serve as a Senior Advisor to the HSC;
Marc Crompton, the Head of Senior Learning Commons & Fusion Cohort Lead, and a long-serving Senior School staff member;
Erin Leach, a long-serving Junior School Staff Member;
Peter Wilken, a senior strategy expert, and a current parent;
Martin Shen, a current parent, non-Society Board member of the Finance Committee, and current Vice President of the St. George’s Parents Association;
Rodan Gopaul-Singh ‘88, a marketing, technology and communications expert, current parent, alumnus, and current Vice President of the Old Boys Association;
Prentice Durbin ‘89, an alumnus and current Chair of the Foundation;
Tom Masterson ‘03, an innovation strategist, young alumnus and serving director on the Board of the Old Boys Association;
Peter Armstrong ‘72, a member of the most recent past Headmaster Search Committee, a former Society Board Chair, a past parent and an alumnus; and
Rob Cruickshank, the Chair of the most recent past Headmaster Search Committee, a former Society Board Chair, a past parent, and an honorary alumnus.
