Engaging 21st Century Minds

The theme of the 2012 Conference is Engaging 21st Century Minds. Today's 21st century learner is expected to be a critical thinker, problem solver, collaborative, agile, and adaptable. Using brain research as a springboard, presenters will examine how factors like emotion, motivation, technology, learning styles, and teaching practice present both challenges and opportunities for students of this generation.

The conference will be hosted at St. George's School and participants will have access to affordable accommodations at the University of British Columbia, accessible via free shuttle from the school.

There is increasing evidence to suggest that understanding brain function and the multiple factors that define it are critical to educators, particularly as they address the complex needs of the 21st Century Learner.

K-12 educators, administrators, learning specialists, special educators, psychologists, social workers, counsellors, speech and language pathologists, staff developers, parents, and Faculty of Education students.

The cost of attending the Saints Institute for Teaching and Learning is $450, plus HST.

Early bird registration cost (before March 1) is $375, plus HST.

Discount is available for 7 or more.
