TRIP OVERVIEW
This two-day program based out of the North Vancouver Outdoor School focuses on coastal First Nations history and environmental field studies. Students spend the first day living in a Salish Big House and prepare their own traditional meal and handicrafts under the direction of elders from the community. They spend the second day exploring forest ecosystems and the life cycle of salmon from the Cheakamus River. The overnight is done in the conference centre at the outdoor school.
